Jeanne Walters—Broker/Owner of Jeanne Walters Real Estate

Jeanne is a long time Bloomington resident and native of neighboring Owen County and as someone familiar with the area, she knows why this community has been chosen as one of the best places to live in the U.S. It’s the people. After many years in social work, Jeanne began to desire a career that enabled her to continue being a positive source of support, but also involved a much more enjoyable and exciting time in people’s lives. Avery Thatcher—Lead Buyer Specialist 

Avery is a Bloomington native who loves the outdoors, camping, hiking, and cycling. He started his real estate career in property management in 2000 and has since become a Star Power Buyer Specialist University Graduate, then Star Power Advanced Buyer Specialist University Graduate, ePro Technology Certified Agent and ultimately earned his Indiana Real Estate Brokers License. When he is not continuing his education, he enjoys working with his clients to help educate them about the real estate buying process. Avery devotes his time to assisting buyers, from explaining the buying process, suggesting property that meets clients’ needs, to helping negotiate the best possible price…he works hard to exceed the expectations of his clients! He knows the market, previews over 100 homes each month, and sells at least one home every week!
 

Mary Norman—Buyer Specialist 

Mary Norman's main focus in the Jeanne Walters Real Estate team is to assist buyers in the search and purchasing process of owning a home. She relocated to Bloomington from South Bend, Indiana, where her real estate career began, but her connection to Bloomington began over 12 years ago when her daughter, and fellow JWRE team member, became an IU student. Having worked in different markets has helped Mary see market-specific trends in real estate as well as universal buyer needs. She can relate to the experiences of “Bloomington newcomer,” “IU parent,” and most recently “IU student!” and also enjoys working with first-time homebuyers. Her motto is “Come to me with your real estate needs, and find a friend in me!”
 

Ashley Norman—Client Care Coordinator 

Ashley came to Bloomington 12 years ago to become an IU student, and discovered that becoming a “local” was the best of all her college graduation gifts! Her studies in Business Economics, Journalism, and Russian Culture translate well into her job functions with Jeanne Walters Real Estate, as her responsibilities include assisting Jeanne in management, advertising & marketing, and working with a diverse and often international clientele base. Ashley recently received her Indiana Real Estate Salesperson license and enjoys working in a field that allows her a continual opportunity to be involved in the community life of Bloomington: her beloved college town and now her home!
 

Mitzy Lewis 

Mitzy has lived in Bloomington for the past 35 yrs and agrees that Bloomington is a great place to live. She has been an active partner with her husband in their plumbing contracting business for over 30 yrs. Mitzy also has 20yrs. experience as a Bloomington landlord. She has been teaching math for the past 8 yrs. as an adjunct instructor at Ivy Tech Community College. Mitzy will be working for Jeanne Walters Real Estate as a listing agent. Her background as a business person and landlord along with knowing the contracting business helps her advise and assist clients in getting their properties priced correctly and sold promptly . Meeting new people is one of the perks of the real estate business and Mitzy looks forward to meeting you and helping you with your real estate needs.
 

Melissa Nicoletti-Director of First Impressions 

Melissa came to Bloomington last year from Chico, California, and unfortunately will be leaving us in July. She graduated from California State University, Chico with a BA in Journalism. Melissa aspires to be a writer and has loved the opportunity to work for and with Jeanne Walters! Melissa has done everything from web updating, creating flyers, designing ad pages, inputting listings and managing rentals. Melissa’s favorite part of working at Jeanne Walters Real Estate has been meeting all the wonderful new and old clients and having the honor to work along side some pretty incredible women.  

Kevin Martin See- Leasing and Property Manager  

Kevin joined our team in June of 2008. He recently graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of the Arts in American History. He is currently studying in hopes of pursuing a graduate degree. Outside of his studies, Kevin is interested in Historical Preservation and appreciates historical architecture and style. Kevin is our Leasing and Property Manager. He currently manages 58 of our rental properties.
